This is an integrated logistics company; providing logistic support to oil/gas companies, Shipping Lines, Port Terminal Companies and several other cadres of companies which require logistic support/services.

 The company has six divisions

4.1. TRANSPORT DIVISION

4.1. 1. Water Transportation Department:

About 20 per cent of the activities in the oil and gas sector have to do with the movement of oil both crude and refined by water. This department sources for cargoes, both liquid and dry, to move from one destination to the other by water.

It sources for all forms of vessels for voyages or time charters. It also sources for vehicles and arranges for rail wagons when necessary.

This department has two units: Wet Cargo and Dry cargo.

 

Wet Cargo Unit:

The Wet cargo unit operates in the Midstream Sector of the oil and gas industry, moving petroleum/petroleum products and gas to and from any part of the world; Transcon is presently a major player in sea transportation of petroleum (both crude and refined) both locally and internationally.The company has been in the business of commercially managing vessels of several sizes for many years, in association with several ship brokers and owners in Africa, Europe and Asia. It moves wet cargo using various types of tankers.

We provide from small vessels, mid-range and large range to very large range; moving both clean and dirty products to and fro different parts of the world.

Dry cargo Unit

This unit is involved in marine movement of Dry bulk cargo, Dry Break Bulk cargo in jumbo bags or in their natural state, Container cargo and Ro-Ro.

 

 

 

 

 

Transcon operates in various ports in the country using Tugboats/Barges to move laden or empty containers to and fro Port Terminals and Jetties/Bonded Warehouses/Holding Bays.

The company is in the process of acquiring a 14600 square metres functionning Bonded warehouse/Holding bay not far from Tincan and Apapa ports in Lagos State.

 

 

 

4.1.2. Land Transportion Department:

The company is involved in the movement of petroleum products and gas by trucks, rail (using wagons) and in the near future by pipelines. It has a small fleet of trucks for this purpose but also sources for vehicles and arranges for rail wagons when necessary.

 

 

Transcon by Trucks also moves laden or empty containers and dry cargo in various forms between port terminals/jetties and Bonded Warehouses/Holding Bays. We also truck them to various destinations  if requested.

 

The company through the Land Transportation Department is also into the use of rail and also pipes to move products; these could be leased pipelines or own pipelines.

 

4.2. VESSEL PURCHASE/SALES DIVISION

The division as the name implies is involved in the sale and purchase of vessels (tankers, dry cargo vessels, barges, rigs, dredgers etc ) for use or demolition. We have acted as brokers extensively over the years in a variety of Sale and Purchase transactions, serving a broad spectrum of Clients.

 

 4.3. SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION

This division can best be described as an oil field services division which offers both Land and Marine Support Services to oil and gas fields operated by International Oil Companies (IOCs) and Local Oil Companies (LOCs).

 

It has four departments: Offshore Oilfield Support Services, Onshore Oilfield Support Services, Equipment Leasing and Special Projects.

 

4.3.1. OFFSHORE OILFIELD SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT

This department provides Offshore Supply Vessels (OSV) to oil exploration and production companies working offshore in the Upstream sector. These vessels include Platform Supply Vessel (PSV), Supply boats/vessels, Crew boat, Accommodation barges, House boat, Work Barges; Offshore Construction/Work Barges; Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel (AHTSV); Pipe Laying Barges; Floating Processing Storage and Offloading (FPSO)/Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) Vessels/Crude Oil Tank Vessels; Ballistic (Security) Patrol Vessels; Fire Fighting Vessels; Tug boats; Shallow Draft Shuttle vessels; Multi-purpose Supply Vessels (mpsv); Diving Support vessels; Survey vessels and Offshore Drilling Rigs.

  1. 3.2. ONSHORE OILFIELD SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT

To LOCs and IOCs operating onshore, the department offers services through Pipes Procurement, Laying of Oil and Gas Pipelines and Maintenance of such pipelines in collaboration with technical partners for the movement of petroleum/gas.    Also through Pipeline Fabrication/Construction and Pipeline coating.

 

The department is also involved in the provision of Land Drilling Rigs, Maintenance of oil and gas Wellheads together with the Supply and Maintenance of oil well Christmas Trees.

4.3.3. HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT LEASING DEPARTMENT

The department provides high duty equipment such as CRANES, MAN-LIFTS, EXCAVATORS, SWAMP BUGGY AND DREDGERS to oil/gas Exploration and Production companies and others requiring such services.

4.3. 4. SPECIAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT

This department is meant to handle Ad-hoc contract opportunities in the oil and gas industry which pop up from time to time, usually supplies contracts.

 

 4.4. OPERATIONS DIVISION:

Once a contract is signed, the activities shift to operations. The actual execution of contracts rest with this department from loading through sailing/movement to discharge or offload. This also includes movement through pipelines and any other similar activities. This division is in charge of executing all other forms of contracts including pipeline services and construction contracts signed by the company.

 

For Dry cargo and Container Logistics, we make use of jetties at Iddo, Kirikiri and Mazamazam, all in Lagos .These Jetties have both Cranes and Cama for cargo handling.

We have several barges/tugboats on lease for our use. All the barges/tugboats have the appropriate licenses and permits.

 

  1. 5. TECHNICAL DIVISION:

This department is involved in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of equipment and machinery.

 

4.6. CORPORATE SERVICES DIVISION: This department includes Finance and Accounts; Human Resource/Administration; Legal; Planning/Strategy; Health, Safety and Environment; Business development and Procurement departments.
